Tummy Time

Image
Kayley sure loves tummy time! At least, most of the time she does :) She is getting stronger each day. A few days ago she rolled over from her tummy to her back. (We think it was more like she fell over while reaching for a toy, but Katie journaled it anyway). The following pictures show Kayley's strong neck, as well as some of her fun facial expressions! We love our little girl!

A Fun Week and a Cute Baby

This last week, we had the opportunity to "test drive" future parenthood. My cousin and his wife went out of town for a week, so we stayed at there house and babysat their three kids. The kids (ages 11, 9, and 7) were great! They loved having a little baby in the house :) We played games and watched movies, they built snow forts and snowmen, and everyone had a great time! In other news, our little Kayley is getting so big. She is always smiling! The other week, Kayley discovered she can make a smacking noise with her mouth. Now whenever she gets bored, she'll start smacking away. We caught it on video a few nights ago. (Sorry about the camera angle, we had to sneak up from behind so she wouldn't see the camera and get distracted). And now we're just pushing through this last week of school before Thanksgiving break! We are really looking forward to spending some quality time with family.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Well, neither of these is the real Great Pumpkin, put we think they're pretty great anyways :) Ever since our second date, where we carved THIS amazing pumpkin, pumpkin carving has been a major Halloween tradition for us. Hours of scooping, poking, scraping, and carving; accompanied by It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, and The Great Bear Scare ; and followed by delicious roasted pumpkin seeds; is our idea of the perfect Halloween.  The setup  Step one: the poking It takes forever but is important for good pumpkin carving  Avatar, the last Airbender Oscar the grouch  Aang in the Avatar State  "Happy Halloween!"  The carvers and their pumpkins So long pumpkins, until next year!

Dude Thats Nothin Basketball

What are guys supposed to do during baby and bridal showers?  The following is Derek and Jeff's answer to that question.  Inspired by the "legendary shot" videos on youtube, here are Derek and Jeff's own legendary shots...Epic

Kayley's First Halloween!

Image
Kayley is getting so big! Here are some pictures from Halloween:  We dressed up as Ohio State fans (thanks for the cute bow Rachelle!)     Thanks Great-Grandpa and Grandma Barton for this cute outfit!    And this fun outfit came from GrandMer! Thanks! We love it! She's a little tired in this picture, but we had to show the awesome pumpkin hat that matched her onesie.  Halloween is not too much fun when you have no teeth and can't eat candy, but lots of big smiles showed Kayley enjoyed it anyway :)

Boo at the Zoo 2

Image
Last year, we discovered "Boo at the Zoo" in Idaho Falls. We decided to make it a yearly tradition as long as we're in Rexburg! The fun ended a little bit earlier this year due to a crying baby and light rain, but we still enjoyed ourselves :)            And even though Kayley didn't know what was going on, she sure looked cute! Happy Halloween!
