One year ago, on our second date ever, we carved the amazing pumpkin that won us a gift certificate to Applebees. This year, we had a two-day pumpkin carving jubilee during which, four ordinary pumpkins were transformed into amazing carved masterpieces. And now the pictures: Getting ready to begin No Halloween is complete without a scary movie. Enter: The Great Bear Scare . See that creepy mountain? Happy Halloween!

This last weekend we had our ward Halloween party. We had to dress up as a famous couple. Can you guess who we are? It's OK, no one else could either. Would you like a hint? Here's another one That's right! We're Jurassic Park! Kayley was a good sport and let us dress her up as a dinosaur for her first "real" Halloween. She was pretty cute toddling around, but don't take our word for it--here's a video (PS-we could only get her to roar like a dinosaur by asking her what a lion said) The party was a lot of fun. Kayley got to go trick-or-treating at some doors they had set up, and there was lots of games and food. To wrap up the Halloween season, Jeff did a pumpkin for the school's pumpkin carving contest. He wanted to try something a bit different this year, something that would stand out in the competition. Kayley has learned to say her name. When she sees herself in a picture or mirror, or when we point to her and ask, "Who is this?" She replies, "K-kley." It's so fun to see all the new things she learns each day. She really is a sweet girl and loves being friends with everyone. Here are some random photos of our big girl.    Wearing mommy's necklace (aka-"pretty")  Big smiles :)  What kid doesn't love a big box to play in?  When we go get Kayley after a nap, it's pretty typical to find her surrounded by clothes she's pulled out of her laundry basket. (If you look close, you can see that she's cuddling her pajamas like a teddy bear).  While mom was making dinner, Kayley found the broom and started sweeping. She loves being mom's big helper. Love her! We're so excited for Kayley to be a big sister. She loves to play with her baby dolls; wrapping them in blankets and giving them bottles and kiss...
