Two Years Ago

Two years ago today we got engaged! In celebration (yesterday) we drove down to the spot where Jeff proposed ... What a happy two years it's been! Life together is wonderful :)

Our Sweet 5 Month Old

Image
Our little Kayley girl turns 5 months old on Friday! She is getting so big! We are working on sitting (which she does pretty well with the help of her hands) and the beginning stages of scooting and crawling (she's not there yet, but she's working on it). It's fun to see her growing interest in toys, books, and anything else you put in front of her :) She's always reaching for, grabbing, and putting in her mouth, anything within her grasp. Also new for Kayley, she's sleeping in her crib! She makes it most the way through the night-usually waking up only once to eat. We are very happy with how well she's sleeping! No post is complete without some pictures of our darling daughter, so here are a few:  She'll hold her balance pretty well if we stand her up next to the couch  Showing off her sitting skills    Happy girl! As for the two of us, we are still doing great. Jeff is working full time and taking one class in the evenings. Katie is loving spending the d...

Can you see the family resemblance?

Baby Jeff ... ... plus baby Katie ... ... equals baby Kayley!

Photo Shoot

When we were down in Utah for Thanksgiving, our sister Arika took some photographs of Kayley. She has an amazing talent! Thanks so much Arika for the awesome pictures! Here are some of our favorite ones:      Besides the ones that were "picture perfect," we got some great candid shots as well :)    This was the picture taken when daddy walked into the room. She sure loves her papa! We are so excited for Christmas and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Travel safe and enjoy the festivities!

Mommmmmm

Okay, so this might seem like those people who think their dog can say "Batman."  However, when Kayley is needing love, it sounds like she is calling out for "mom." It is pretty hard to do anything but run and pick her up to make her happy after noises like that :) P.S. There really are people who think their dog can say Batman  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgzyXDaizgY

So many new things!

One of the most fun things about having a little baby is getting to watch them as they grow and experience new things. In just three months, Kayley has grown from a sleeping/eating/very cute but doesn't do much baby to a babbling/cooing/playing/laughing/moving/happy/still very cute baby! Here's a look at some new things for Kayley:  This picture shows two new things, 1)Kayley will now take a pacifier (Hooray!) and 2) A new found interest in playing with toys :) Kayley checking out snow for the first time She has figured out how to smile and laugh. It is constantly brightening our day! (This picture was taken by our amazingly talented sister Arika! More to come in later posts!)   We had such a fabulous Thanksgiving break with all our family (thanks everyone!) and are now looking forward to a wonderful Christmas full of family, friends, great food, lots of love, and many happy memories!

Tummy Time

Image
Kayley sure loves tummy time! At least, most of the time she does :) She is getting stronger each day. A few days ago she rolled over from her tummy to her back. (We think it was more like she fell over while reaching for a toy, but Katie journaled it anyway). The following pictures show Kayley's strong neck, as well as some of her fun facial expressions! We love our little girl!
