Fun in the Arizona Sun!
We had such a great time in Arizona! It was so fun to see friends and family, as well as all the sights and excitements of Mesa. On our way down, we stopped in St. George and then stayed in a little place right next to Zion Canyon. The canyon was breathtaking!
This was the view from our balcony.
It was so beautiful!
As we drove through the Canyon, we stopped to take a picture
And we continued on our way to Mesa. We had to drive over the Glen Canyon Dam. Again, we stopped for pictures.
One side looks out over the dam and Lake Powell
The other side looks out over the Grand Canyon
Finally we arrived in Mesa and began to hit the hot spots!
First stop: Golf Land!
Although Katie did get 2 holes-in-one, Jeff still won (by quite a bit)
Filiberto's was another "must see." Our burritos were muy delicioso :)
We were really bummed that the Mesa Temple was closed for cleaning, but we still wanted to walk around the grounds. It's wonderful how you can feel the Spirit that surrounds every temple.
We also saw (but didn't get pictures of) the Easter Pageant, all of Jeff's old houses and schools, lots of family and friends, and so much more. It was a wonderful time to be in Mesa! It was warm (but not too hot!) and all the orange trees were in blossom. For those of you who don't know, when orange trees blossom, they smell amazing! We would drive past the orange groves, roll down our windows, and breathe in all that good, fresh air! We really had a great time.
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Stevenson, Bro. and Sis. Hansen, and Uncle Daryl and Aunt Irene for opening your hearts and homes and letting us stay with you. We really appreciate it!
So glad Katie got the full Arizona experience. I know Jeff was way excited to share his homeland. Thanks for the AZ oranges! We love fresh squeezed in the mornings.
