The Coopers come to Rexburg
What a better way to spend a 3 day weekend then driving 3.5 hrs up to freezing Rexburg to visit your favorite sister and brother-in-law. Whether or not this is true, we're sure glad the Cooper family thought it was! Mom and Pop Cooper, along with Charity and Christian, came for a weekend full of pumpkin carving, marshmallow gun making, and all around fun!
Other fun activites included a tour of the BYU-Idaho Center (a must see if you're in Rexburg), a session at the temple (thanks Christian and Charity for babysitting!), and a steak dinner (courtesy of Grandpa Cooper). We sure had a blast!
Carving our pumpkins, it was so fun to have Charity and Christian join in the tradition!
Christian's Poke Ball pumpkin. It turned out great!
Charity's Cub Scouts pumpkin (she spent this last summer working at a Cub Scout Camp). This was a technically difficult pumpkin, and Charity did an awesome job.
Katie's Beauty and the Beast pumpkin, taken from the playbill of the Beauty and the Beast Broadway musical.
All three. They really turned out great!
The next day, Jeff, Charity, and Christian decided to make marshmallow guns--or in this case, marshmallow feeders, considering that their intention was to take them to the nature park to feed the ducks. After getting some PVC pipe and joints, they drew up their plans and began cutting and assembling.

Kayley was sure excited to see her grandparents! She walked around the house showing them all her favorite books and toys. I think they were equally glad to see her :)

and Grandpa Lyle, whom she affectionately calls "Pa"
